The 21-year-old American actress and singer-songwriter shared a photo of herself in her Instagram showing a mermaid tail while posing in the water. She wrote a lengthy caption where she mentioned that the filming is officially finished.
She also mentioned how grateful she was to be chosen as Ariel and how the experience (while making the film) taught her a lot—from being away from home and family to feeling self-doubt and loneliness.
Chloe Bailey was fast to comment how proud she is with her sister. The sisters sing in the duo Chloe x Halle.
Director Rob Marshall said that Halle has the exact rare combinations that they were looking for in the character of Ariel: the spirit, the heart, her youthfulness, innocence, and substance, besides her beautiful voice, of course!
